LIBERTAS observes and participates in the (re-)construction of democratic and market orientated structures in Central and Eastern European Countries who have applied for European Union accession. Together with co-operation partners from Slovenia and Macedonia (FYROM) LIBERTAS prepares and offers business and legal courses.
LIBERTAS has been involved in various projects in many Central and Eastern European countries, partly organised by the European Union‘s Phare Programme. Special experience exist for the following countries:
Czech Republic: seminars for the Czech Manager Association,
Hungary: seminars on the EU Single Market
Poland: training for the Akademia Economicna at Katowice University,
Slovenia: activities for a business association in foreign trade, EU Single Market and investment, studies for enterprise co-operation; activity as Team Leader, EU Phare Programme Approximation of Legislation.
Lithuania: seminars for the co-operative movement,
Romania: foreign trade training for private banks,
Croatia: seminars on the EU Single Market and European tourism
Macedonia: activities for a NGO in the field of foreign trade and investment
Belorussia: training in EU Customs and Trade Law
Russia: seminars on the EU Single Market
With their experience in the Balkan region LIBERTAS staff have made several studies pertaining to the future of this region; they often initiate conferences and speak at seminars.
